Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to highlight the potential of investing in a comprehensive e-tourism mobile application in Saudi Arabia that would improve the tourism experience for local and international visitors to Saudi Arabia. It took the city of Jeddah as a case to explore this need. The paper analysed four current applications to explore the gap that is required to be addressed. After that, an online structured survey was conducted with 70 responses to examine whether the local market is requiring such a solution to propose or not. The findings showed that even the locals are finding some difficulties when using the current solutions. The value of this study is to trigger the giant local and international players to consider proposing a comprehensive mobile application to get most of the travel experience and to generate a considerable source of income.
